There are many beautiful places in the greater Bariloche area – but from the top of Cerro Campanario one can see a ‘typical’ poster image – mixing elements of lake, mountains and forests into one grand spread. There are two ways up: chairlift or on foot in half an hour on a very steep winding dirt track. The view from above is worth the effort in every respect. Spread out below the lucky viewer is a landscape of, well, lakes, mountains and forest. The scale is breathtaking and depending on the direction of the light a different mood dominates. This view is, according to National Geographic, one of the 10 best views in the world. That is subjective of course, one must judge for themselves but by any criteria, this inspiring landscape rates highly.
Located at kilometer 17.5 (distances are measured from Centro Cívico de Bariloche), this amazing afternoon trip rates its own post.
