Situated in the centre of the downtown section of Santiago, cerro Santa Lucia affords the best views of the city from above. While not as high as it’s cousin cerros, Santa Lucia is the most fortunately situated and therefore popular.
There is an old castle on the top, Castillo Hidalgo, and the stonework, wilding stairways and picturesque pools combine to create a pleasant, albeit touristic, attraction. But I am a tourist so what the hell.
